I'm glad to see FreeBSD's ifconfig in our tree as well, but what about our 
neat features like e.g. interface renaming? Will we lose that for a while? Or 
is that easy to add?
Interface renaming will not be a problem because it is  a feature we took 
from FreeBSD
in the first place, again, written by Brooks Davis. :-)
