DragonFly on an AMD64 machine

    Unfortunately that patch isn't universal, it seems to cause as many 
    problems on other machines as it fixes on the compaq, and doesn't fix
    all the issues anyway, which is why I can't commit it to the tree.

    The real problem here is the keyboard driver, and the fix probably
    requires a good bit of research to rewrite the portion that is using
    the keyboard test command to resynchronize the keyboard.  Why the
    compaq doesn't support the command properly I just don't know, but that
    appears to be the issue.

    In anycase, this is a problem in needs of a programmer and researcher 
    to solve, and my plate is full :-(.
