seems to do nothing, but BOOT_BIOSDISK_DEBUG does produce thousands
of lines of debugging info which whizzes past too fast for me to
read it.
When I do lsdev at the loader prompt I once again get more info
than I can read, but I do get one interesting line I can see:
bd_checkextended: no magic in extended table
and then it lists some but not all of the extended partitions
as I said above.
I'll see if I can make any sense out of that message by poking
thru the code later today.
