buildworld with gcc3 broken?

I get the following error in buildworld with gcc3. No error with gcc2.
Is gcc3 still unsupported, and for how long? Everyone else in the
world seems to have switched to it long ago...
My /usr/src is a symlink to /home/rsidd/dflysrc/src -- don't know
whether that's part of the problem, but the path in the error
message below looks weird.
