It's highly condescending and assumes that there is something like
ranking regarding these tasks and only is useful in creating subordinate
relationships for largely bogus reasons. Good engineers are good
regardless of this labeling and it's highly destructive to do so.

It's better to let folks do what's needed and let that drive their
learning process. You'll often be surprised at what folks can do
when these kind of bogus social pressures are removed from them.

Witness the Linux community for an example of this. Their openness
is one of the key reasons why that community is so large.
