Well, I just hope we won't run into such problems very often. But
I also believe that the biggest source of such problems is the need
to provide multiple versions of a shared library or a interpreter as
dependence. Normal user IMHO aren't using both stable and unstable
versions of the same branch. And those who do can learn about
relocation ;-)
