:Will the DF kernel accommodate applications that require GRIO? Will the 
:new DF I/O device model allow for guaranteed rates?

    Real rate guarentees are virtually impossible to do with a general purpose
    operating system.  It's possible to get fairly close... e.g. SGI did a
    reasonable job in IRIX, but there is no particular tie-in between the
    DFly algorithms and an ability to do rate guarentees.
