    Frag.  This just sucks.  utmpx is a completely unusable API.  Amoung
    other things, the utx API functions aren't thread safe.

    I'm sorry, it's just unusable.  We'll have to come up with something
    else.  I am not going to commit anything until we can figure out a
    reasonable solution even if it means building a new API.
