    kernel - Rename 'cpu' global

    * Rename the 'cpu' global to 'cpu_type' to avoid overloading the variable.
Many procedures iterate cpus using a local 'cpu' variable.

    * Fix once instance where a procedure iterated using the global instead of
      a local.
