    sendmail - pre-fork in daemon mode to avoid stall
    
    * Fork sendmail prior to doing the hostname lookup when run in -bd or -q<time>
      mode.
    
    * Prevents stalls during system boot when the internet is not available and
      a resolv.conf is present.
