    loader - Add slowprint() debugging helper
    
    * Add a slowprint() function and command to enable it
      to help trace out problems.
    
    * Used for recent debugging but calls are not intended to be permanently
      resident in the code.  Leave the infrastructure in place for future
      debugging.
