I always wonder whether it is possible to pass the device's serializer
to the virtual devices (wlanX) and wlanX uses the passed in serializer
as its 80211com's (i.e. ifnet's) serializer to protect its 802.11
states.

In the old 802.11 stack, the device's 802.11 states are protected by
the device's serializer; the 802.11 states protection mechanism is
simply straightforward.
