Please repull from lapic_timer branch on my leaf git repo.  You could
tune hw.acpi.c3_reloadthr (unit is sys_cputimer's tick, you need to do
some calculation against kern.cputimer.freq :), bigger value the lower
chance C3 is entered, but lower i8254 interrupt load.
