    Well.  hmmm.  If you have some time to dedicate to making it work
    that would be great, I need to take a break from the dev_ops stuff
    for a bit so I can start working on the SYSLINK layer for user
    DEV/VFS interfacing. 

    I'm going to do DEV first since there are far fewer ops, and all
    the infrastructure is the same for both anyhow so it advances both
    userland DEV and VFS at the same time.  I can steal the raw
    communications infrastructure directly from the journaling code.
