    Ok, I see what happened.  It looks like the commit that removed
    OLDBRIDGE also removed the original interfacing matching code (that was
    unrelated to bridging but had been integrated in the same conditional
    as the OLDBRIDGE test).
    The new patch looks correct to me.
yep, i will commit it to -devel and 1.6 in some minutes (my /home filled up)
