Is there any reason it needs to be a bootstrap tool?
It is used in at least boot2, kernel and libcompat
kernel and lib/compat need only echo. No idea how to get the filesize
without ls though.
stat?
lib/compat needs a sorted list and i'm not sure if shell globbing does
this.
