    I got most of the modules hooked up but I haven't cleaned up the top
    level Makefile's yet so they are still out of the loop.

    The problems were extensive but minor... basically just grudge work.
    I'll finish it up later today.

    You need to build and install a new 'config'.  I am considering a
    new build scheme that will not require the config program to hardwire
    those symlinks.
