Hi,
just wanted to mention i also experience it under a different hosting environment -> ESXi. It appeared as I moved from 5.8 to 6.0.
I tried a very dumb change today: switched from IDE emulated drive to SCSI, in case the bug hides in the driver.

I left a DragonFly BSD 6.0 VM (VirtualBox) unattended for a couple of days, with no load (just a shell prompt sitting there).
The kernel crashed. See the attached screenshot.
