Thanks for spotting this.
The 'c' command should be fixed (i.e. actually work) with commit ea03a758f244a3ff294b82ff1804bb8966b8bca6 in master.
The filtering with 'c' should now behave like the 'g' command in OpenBSD's top.

If I press 'c' whilst top is running and enter e.g. "python2.7" or "python" to filter the python processes and threads, it has no effect
