Issue #2331 has been reported by Pierre Abbat.

----------------------------------------
Bug #2331: reading mouse mode from unopen file descriptor hangs mouse driver
http://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/issues/2331

Author: Pierre Abbat
Status: New
Priority: Normal
Assignee:
Category:
Target version:

I'm writing a program to control the mouse. I ran it with the mouse daemon still running; it output -1 for the file descriptor and nonsense for the protocol. I stopped moused and tried again. Same result, except a slightly different nonsense protocol number. I ran moused again and it refused to start.

Version is v3.1.0.274.g7bf41-DEVELOPMENT. Mouse hardware is PS2, with a scrollwheel, which I'm trying to get to work.
