[issue1888] switching screen with startx (and icewm-session) causes reboot

New submission from Alex Hornung <ahornung at gmail.com>:

It seems that doing 'startx' (with icewm-session or exec icewm-session in
. xinitrc) and then switching back to another terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F1) causes a
short deadlock and then reboot (cpu reset?).

Seems to be reproducible relatively easily on my ThinkPad T60, but no way of
getting a dump or anything
