Forgive me (most probably) false alarm - I'm just pretty new to DragonFly,
as I wrote.
That three (Net/Open/Free) BSD-s have a bit different (but common for them)
approach, when one types just "fdisk" alone: it reports the partitions of
recognized disk devices (if there were recognized any at all). Under DF
typing just "fdisk" I've got a response: "cannot open any disk devices;
device not configured" (if I memorized correctly). Having in mind that
mentioned NetBSD-issues, I've made an assumption, that it's very similar
case. Additionally: reading about FreeBSD-roots of DF I was expecting very
similar behaviour.
But a while ago I've tried to: "fdisk /dev/ad4" - and voila! The partitions
have been listed. So, although I didn't made the installation to HDD yet
(must save some data first), it seems, that my report wasn't precise. My
fault, sorry - just didn't examine dmesg's output closely enough.
