mouse in serial corrupts boot loaders

I have a mouse plugged into my serial. (The mouse works with moused
and provides a working sysmouse for X11 on DragonFly.)

1) I rebooted and got:

DragonFly boot
0:ad(0,a)/boot/locader: (garbage characters here)

I pressed enter and it said "No (garbage)"

Pressing "?" gives file and directory list.

2) Booting from LiveCD

The "Welcome to DragonFly" menu didn't count down but kept flashing "10".

Then a three seconds later:

Error: stack overflow
|
Hit [Enter] to boot immediately, or ...

then when to OK automatically.

Showed garbage
I could type commands, but no results, just came back to:
OK
OK
OK ?
OK
OK help
OK boot
OK

Notice extra spaces after OK above.

(I have seen two "bug tracking" webpages and this mailing list. If you
want me to report somewhere else, please let me know.)

Unplugging mouse and typing "boot" does work.
