kernel panic

:So far so good.  Shutting down X or typing 'reboot' were the
:only things that caused panics AFAICT, and I've done both those
:things a dozen times or so with no problems yet.

:I did capture one last panic before booting the new (patched)
:kernel which seems a bit different from the one I sent you.
:I'll upload it if you want, but your patch is working well
