Sorry for the multiple posts, I decided it will be better if I post the
entire dmesg since it probably contains more information than I can
describe in my words. Help appreciated. Need to get the net working.

I should also mention that it occurred to me yesterday that the system
actually restarted itself while the kernel was booting.
