KERNLOAD undeclared error during buildkernel

Heh -- very true.  But *should* it be defined somewhere?

I just grepped thru an old DF install from several months
ago and also found NO mention of KERNLOAD.

So -- what accounts for my sudden problem compiling the
kernel today?  I depend on you Code Gurus to answer these
impossible questions!  I, likewise, face similar questions
from my wife like, 'Did you take out the garbage today like
I asked you to?'
