Ok, please try the attached patch.
$ cd /sys/dev/raid/ips
$ zcat ips-devstat.diff.gz | patch
$ make
$ su
# cp /modules/ips.ko /modules/ips.ko.bak
# make install
# shutdown -r now
I'm going through a full buildworld, which will take about two hours,
with patched ips driver, to see if there's a problem.
