Http get commands return a bad results.

I get the same results for longer downloads of either HTTP or FTP based
sources. ssh seems to work fine, perhaps because of the additional
cryptographic hashing done there. This problem seems to be somewhat
randomly occuring, the positions where the TCP (?) based connections
start to get junk seems to be different any time.
