ed1 (pccard ed) broken since somewhere in march - does not attach to media properly (LINK LED being off and card not working at all)

I don't have any idea which change could have broken it. :( The only change
in the last 5 weeks to ed(4) was the argument removal of ether_ifattach/detach.
But that isn't likely to produce such problems.

Could you try a binary search starting with 2003/03/06 to find the day your problems
started? I'm looking for an ed(4) and try to reproduce this.
