Possible fix for DragonFly woes under VMware

Just an update (cc'ed to those who expressed interest earlier on bugs@;
followups set to bugs@):
I downloaded VMware 4.5.1 (Linux) tonight; so far, after running for a
few hours, I have yet to see the issues I had earlier with DragonFly and
VMware 4.0.5 (console locking and sleep() problems).
It *might* also fix some of the issues people have had with FreeBSD 5.x,
but I haven't tried that yet.
