I can't say... the bug in the installer was that, if the user cancelled
the install in the middle and went back and changed the disklabel, it
wasn't writing the new disklabel properly the second time.  This would
make perfect sense for there being overlapping partitions, and I haven't
seen the panic again since I fixed that logic.  But it could very well
be a coincidence.
