text screen saver movement stops

Hi All,

I have a PR440FX Intel MB with dual processors.
With a SMP kernel the screen saver will eventually
stop moving the text across the screen.
Starting up some work ( make buildkernel )
will, when the screen saver kicks in again, show a
normally expected screensaver motion.
This morning, the screensaver is again frozen.
The code base is current of about June 6 07:08 CDT
