DFBSD on 2nd drive fails to boot, FreeBSD succeeds same partition

:Last night I tried to install dragonfly on my second hard drive(slave).  I

:sais something about not being able to find the partition.  Also, I tried
:to use the CD to make adjustments to the installed system and it could not
:find it.  The hard drive is a MAXTOR 160gb ATA.  The other partition
:contains FAT32 100gb and the partitions for dfbsd are 25gb and 28gb.

    The boot CD ought to be able to 'see' the second disk.   What
    is it not seeing?  The whole second drive is missing or is 
    it something like fdisk (from the cd) not being able to read
    the dos slice table on the second hd?
