Can you try setting the kernel environment variable debug.acpi.disabled
from the boot prompt as I posted earlier on this list? The value
is space-separated list of one or more of the following keywords.

acad bus button children cmbat cpu ec
isa lid pci pci_link sysresource thermal timer

pci, thermal, cmbat have been reported to be the problem, so you may
want to try them first.
