    Well, you can probably ignore the floppy controller and serial port
    warnings... I am guessing that the travelmate doesn't have either :-),
    so it comes down to USB and cardbus.

    I would try booting with and without ACPI, but if neither option works 
    then there just may not be a solution for the problem on that laptop
    right now.
