:Hey there,
:
:Just a minor heads up, I had a box (Aug 4 kernel) just lock up on
:me and wouldn't boot back up. After Matt fixed the acpi timeout()
:deadlock bug back around August 2nd-ish, it ran for about 2 weeks
:but now for some reason it freezes in the same place, right before
:going into multi-user.
:
:I was able to break into DDB but the only thing on the stack was
:the keyboard interrupt handler with lwkt_exit() at the very top.
:I'm guessing that's another deadlock? So, for now I'm running just
:fine without acpi.ko so I can save myself more trips down to the
:colo. :-)
:
:Anyway, I just thought I'd share to perhaps prevent some unwanted
:grief for some of you.
:
:-Paul.

See if it's the 'getty on ttyd0' problem. Check your /etc/ttys
and make sure you aren't running anything on a serial port.
