mysqld startup problem

    I just ripped out the unconditional 8254 restore in the video bios call
    path.  I'm hoping this will fix most of the issues being reported, except
    that it will also cause a few people's laptops which were fixed by the
    original commit to start going clock crazy again as well.  

    We'll have to figure out a better way to deal with the bios messing with
    the 8254.
