Boot freeze fixed ( was Re: Promise ATA RAID broken )

Just an update to this older thread:  I just updated to -CURRENT 
from yesterday and the freeze upon boot is fixed, works just fine 
now.  Don't know for sure, but I suspect it was the ACPI timeout() 
deadlock...
