<br>
New problems have begun.<br>
In the build world of 5_8_1 I am stuck at something
that looks like this,<br>
if you can forgive my cellphone-only state:<br>
--- libgreputils.a---<br>
building static greputils library<br>
rm -f libgreputils.a<br>
ar can libgreputils.a 'lorder argmatch.o
c-strcasecmp.o ...<br>
<br>
Many .o files follow after that specific line ends, I
have this:<br>
<br>
/usr/libexec/binutils227/elf/nm: 'a file or another.o'
: No such file<br>
<br>
I did check, nm is an executable. Currently I cannot
make symlinks either.<br>
What might be my trouble?<br>
<br>
How can I figure out what is going on?<br>

After replacing files from my partial backup X11 is
acting strangely.<br>
<br>
Cannot open log file
"/root/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log"<br>
<br>
The log file is alive and well where it has always
been in<br>
/var/log/Xorg.0.log<br>
<br>
There is mention of this on the internet, mostly on
ArchLinux, nothing<br>
useful however.<br>
<br>
Another problem, if I compile kernel 5.8 can I get
updates?<br>
<br>
Or is it so that I need to buildworld...because that
was looking bad...but<br>
if I could get updates maybe it would help.<br>
<br>
Thank you anyone at all for any help<br>
