The gist of it is this. There are sample files that you need to rename one of in order to use, then two lines need to be modified slightly as the page describes.</div>

e.g. does "ping <a href="http://avalon.dragonflybsd.org" target="_blank">avalon.dragonflybsd.org</a>" work?<br>
<br>
Your messages look like pkg can't connect to a remote server.<br>
So check if the /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos configuration file is in place<br>
too (per HowToDports)<br>
