No, i have built postgresql9.1 at the same time on FreeBSD, when i do make install clean on /usr/ports/databases/postgresql91-server postgresql91-client and gettext are downloaded and compiled :)<BR>

You mentioned building this on FreeBSD. Does the same thing happen on FreeBSD? It should behave the same (for dependencies) on both platforms.
