I use df-3.2.1 no-gui amd64 usb img to install on my laptop and home box, the laptop is a Thinkpad T400 and the installation is quit all right, my home box is a ASUS M3N78-CM board with 4GB ddr2 ram, athlon II X4 610e, 4 sata2 disk( one 320G, three 1TB, ahci not emulated ide), when the system is booting and try to find root device, it said " can not found root device da8s1a". in the " mountxxx>", with ? commnad, I found da0, da1, da2, da3, and da8( i think it is my usb stick) but no da8s1a. The most weired thing is when I push the reset button, my box restarted but failed to find any of 4 disks when entering bios self-test, only found my unplugged usb stick( press F8 on startup). Moreover, it later said the ahci link has no response. It seems previous unsuccessful installation overwrite some bios area. If I powerdown my box then restart it, it managed to find both my 4 disks and the usb stick.

I used to try df-3.0.3 no-gui img, the image could bootup, but after entering installation procedure and select harddrive to install, it failed to find my harddisk but only my usb stick. Does anyone has some clue helping me dig into this problem?
