boot from second disk again

Hi,
my HP microserver boots from second hard disk.
I've tried to migrate the current system to first disk using the
howto_reinstall_hammer - howto. When reaching the "creating disk layout"
chapter i was afraid of the warning to use fdisk. So i created a layout with
linux parted and ended up with new install from flash disk to the first disk.
I did this to get a rudimentary partition scheme on it.
Ja, crazy, now i know ...
After reboot neither the new nor the old system wanted to boot.
I think the boot0 loader starts and offers F1 / F5, but both will hang.
I think i could clean the bootsector on the first disk with "dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/da0 bs=512 count=1"
and hope that the system would then automatically boot next disk 2.
But is there a non-trick way to boot again only from disk 2 ?

Thanks,
    Sascha
