dbus library incorrectly set up. issue dbus-uuidgen fixed problem

     Thank you for the reply and suggestion.
      I enabled it in /etc/rc.conf file, removed the machine-id file i 
created, rebooted, reinstalled
       epiphany and  it  worked.  It did not dawn on me dbus needed to 
be enabled in the rc.conf file
