installkernel succeeds, installworld fails

Then I don't have any idea.  There was issue with 3.6 => 3.8 that I know
of.  I'd probably just "rm -rf "/usr/obj" and rebuild world again, then
install it. (Did you use quickworld before, by any chance?)
