Greetings,

I am not purposefully trying to be difficult, but rather trying to
understand.

Theoretically the B-Tree could be used to list multiple copies of
a data block but it would really complicate the filesystem. HAMMER's
media structure is designed for replication across distinct copies
of the filesystem rather than trying to maintain redundancy within
a single copy of the filesystem.
My thinking that having the mirroring within the filesystem, combined
with the reblocking code, hot swap (connect/disconnect) and the smart
mountpoints would actually be a very smooth experience also in
single-server configurations.

Ah, there always /is/ hardware RAID. Maybe that would still just be the
way to go.

Thank you for your answer!
