large ncpus / memory support going in, HEADS UP - master may have some instability

Over the next few days I will be committing work to support systems
with large numbers of cpu & memory. The commit made today does not
represent stable support yet and it is also possible that the work may
    temporarily destabilize other configurations.

Support for up to 63 cpus and 512G of ram is going in, with the
initial commit just made a moment ago. It is being tested on a
    48-core opteron server.

There are numerous issues that have to be worked through before the
base support is stable but I don't expect it to take very long since
I am already able to boot the box into single-user with all cpus and
    memory.

In addition I will be working through issues with the if_igb network
driver and probably port the mps driver (which this particular server
has on-board), which may take longer.
