I have successfully rebuilt from HEAD on three different platforms: Intel 
PIII, Athlon XP 3000+ and Athlon 64 3500+.

After installing the snapshot dated 12/30/2006 I followed the process from 
the "Upgrading DragonFly on an existing DragonFly system" in the UPDATING 
doc.
