Hate to ask again, but I'm *so* close....

I've got my headless box running with the LiveCD.  I can ssh in.  How can I
get either the curses or cgi installer to run?  The curses installer doesn't
show anything on the screen, just backend messages.  And thttpd is nowhere to
be found for the cgi installer.  Am I missing something?
