Anyway, as far as making smbd work with propolice is concerned, it might 
be an idea to compile the default pkgsrc package with 
-fno-stack-protector until a solution has been sought.
I can't see any indication for propolice having to do with that.  It's a 
free-invalid-pointer thing.
